Welcome
My name is Andrew Godbout and I am a Canadian speed skater. In 2006 I made a huge life change, deciding to pursue my Olympic dreams, dropping everything to move across the country and become an amateur Canadian Speed skater. At age 25, I was seven years removed from competitive sports and fully settled into a career and life. I however did not want to have any regrets and had always wondered that had I continued on with speed skating when I was a teenager would I have been able to become a world-class skater.
I have created this website to allow people to track my progress and follow along with me on this wild ride ascending the Canadian and World Speed Skating ranks. I intend to keep the site up to date with my progress, struggles and stories along the way. I want to share this journey with my friends, colleagues, family and anyone who is interested.
